A New Journey

Doesnt that sound intriguing?  A new journey.  Curious?  What could it be?  A new family member?  A vacation somewhere exotic? A new relationship?  Well, for me this new journey is a weight loss journey.  Am I up for it?  I have to say yes even though I know I am weak.  So…….how to take this journey?  What should I pack?  What should I look forward to?  Ha……I am packing a whole bunch of extra weight.  I am looking forward to unpacking some of it.  And I am going to take it one day, one pound at a time.

I cant make this journey on my own of course.  So my wonderful sisters will be along.  Although we will be taking different paths, our destination is the same.  Sharon and Dianne will be doing the Alli diet.  I will be doing the “stop eating everything in site and get off my butt” diet.  We will compare notes in three months and re-evaluate our mode of transportation.  

Today – my food:  Breakfast-Cinnamon Toast Crunch, 2%milk, two pieces of buttered toast.  Lunch:  popcorn.  Dinner: pot roast, mashed potatoes, gravy.  Extra:  one very small bite of a brownie.  Liquids:  2 diet cokes, 4 glasses of water.  Food I refrained from: brownies, brownies and more brownies.  Bread at dinner.  

My goal for tomorrow: smaller portions for dinner, more liquids, more exercising.  

Baby Steps.
